OpenAI models come to Google Cloud's Model Garden
GPT-6 Astra, GPT-6.1 Sol, and GPT-6 Luna are in private preview on Google Cloud, with Codex agentic workflows, and general availability is planned in the coming weeks. You pay through Google Cloud Marketplace, and the spend can draw down existing GCP commitments. OpenAI models are also coming to Google Antigravity and the Gemini Agent. If your agents already run on Google Cloud, you'll soon be able to switch models without signing a separate vendor contract. Source

Anthropic opens a research preview of Claude Duet, a proactive agent app
Claude Duet watches your connected apps, surfaces what needs your attention, keeps working when you step away, and checks with you before it acts. It's on iOS, Android, and claude.ai, comes with Pro and Max plans, and is rolling out by waitlist, starting with US subscribers. It's built for professionals and small business owners, which puts it in the same lane as ready-made assistants like Lindy. Source

Glean adds headless agent building for Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex
Developers can now build, test, and publish Glean agents as code right from their coding tools, and the finished agents run on Glean's managed platform. It's generally available now. Worth a look if you'd rather keep agents versioned in a repo than build them in a visual editor. Source

NVIDIA adds open Nemotron 3.5 retrieval models for embedding, reranking, and document parsing
The new Nemotron Retriever models are open and commercially available. NVIDIA's pitch is that better retrieval gets agents to grounded answers with fewer repeated searches and fewer wasted tokens. Worth testing if your agents lean on RAG. Source

Mistral releases Voxtral 3 speech models and a voice agent SDK
Built on LiveKit, the SDK runs transcription, reasoning with tool calls, and speech in one streaming pipeline, and Mistral says each turn completes in under a second. Transcription covers 50+ languages, and the voice agent API starts at $0.04/min with Mistral Small 4. If you're building phone or support agents, note that it runs on Mistral's EU, US, and global endpoints or self-hosted. Source

Meta releases Muse Glimmer 30B, an open on-device agent model under Apache 2.0
It handles tool use, multi-step planning, and failure recovery locally, takes text and image input, and is quantized to about 4-bit so it runs on a single GPU. Meta says it beats Gemma4-31B and Qwen3.6-27B on agentic benchmarks. Worth a look if you want your agent runs to stay on your own hardware. Source
