Voiceflow added Voiceflow Classify on October 28. It's a new intent classification option for V3 projects that uses Voiceflow's decision model instead of a large language model. Voiceflow says it's faster, needs no training, and has no confidence threshold to tune: when no intent clearly fits, it returns no match instead of guessing. If it can't classify a message, for example because more than 254 intents are in scope, the agent falls back to RAG plus an LLM for that message. V4 projects don't use intents, so it doesn't apply to them, and existing projects keep their current setting until you switch.
