Google DeepMind announced Gemini 4 Carbon on October 28, two weeks after Gemini 4 Argon. Google says it ranks #1 at 59 on the updated v5.0 Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index. Google also says it leads on SEC-bench Pro (88.2%) for finding vulnerabilities, ExploitGym (54.8%) for exploitation, and CWE-bench (71.0%) for patching. It's built for long-running agentic engineering work, and Google says internal teams have seen it run for days on multi-step tasks. Access starts this week with a subset of cyber defenders, then widens to trusted partners through Google's Fairwind Program. Developers, businesses, and consumers get it later. It launches at the same introductory price as Argon: $2 per 1M input tokens and $10 per 1M output tokens, with cached input 95% off, rising to $4 / $20 after the introductory period.
