Microsoft said on October 27 that agentic authoring in Power Apps canvas studio is now in preview. The authoring agent sits beside the canvas and works with existing apps, Dataverse tables, connectors, and governance. You describe what you want, it proposes a plan, and after you agree or make changes it does the work, such as replicating a change across every screen of an app. The result is still a regular canvas app, so you can choose when to spend tokens or edit by hand. An admin turns it on with a tenant setting in the Power Platform Admin Center, and makers sign in with a GitHub.com account. It follows the canvas authoring agent plugin, which became generally available in September for building canvas apps from coding agents like GitHub Copilot CLI and Claude Code.
