Liquid AI releases LFM3, six open-weight 2B-class models for text, vision, audio, omni, and decisions

Liquid AI released LFM3 on October 27. It's a family of six open-weight models of about 2B parameters, all built on one LFM3-1.7B-Base backbone: four cover text, vision, audio, and omni inputs, and two are decision models. Liquid AI says LFM3-1.7B outperforms its earlier LFM2.5-2.6B with 35% fewer parameters. The text model has a 256K context window and fits in about 1 GB at 4-bit precision, and every model can be fine-tuned on a single GPU. You can get the models on Hugging Face, the Liquid AI Playground, and the Liquid AI API.
