At TechXchange 2026 on October 27, IBM said watsonx Orchestrate can connect to Amazon Bedrock, Microsoft Foundry, and Google Gemini to discover agents built there, along with models and MCP servers (tech preview). It can also run agents in isolated sandboxes, with a kill switch to shut any agent down (tech preview). The evaluation tools are generally available. They test the quality, accuracy, and compliance of agents, models, and MCP servers before deployment, monitor them in production, and track each agent's model and token use. IBM also made Agent Identity and HashiCorp Vault 2.2 generally available. Together they give each agent a governed identity and short-lived, least-privilege credentials that can be revoked in real time.
