Oracle AI Database Agent Engine is now generally available in Oracle AI Database 26ai. It runs agent workflows inside the database, next to the data they use. It takes agents built with Open Agent Specification and supports ReAct, sequential, parallel, orchestrator, router, and loop patterns, plus human approval gates. SQL and PL/SQL handle the deterministic steps, and language models are called only at the points the workflow defines, so teams don't need a separate orchestration layer kept in sync with their data.
