n8n Cloud bills by workflow execution. One execution is one full run of a workflow, start to finish. Step count and data volume don't change that. A 3-step run and a 40-step run each count as one execution. Make works differently: it charges credits per module action. Zapier charges tasks per successful step.

USD figures use a rate of 1.1242 (2026-10-17 reference rate). n8n prices plans by monthly executions, but its pricing page doesn't list the allowance for each tier. The Cloud free trial includes 1,000 executions, and you don't need a card. On Business, overage costs €4,000 for each extra bucket of 300,000 executions.
Count how often each workflow is triggered. The steps inside don't matter.

Make charges 1 credit for most module actions, and that includes reading the trigger data. Zapier doesn't charge for triggers or for its built-in tools (Filter, Formatter, Paths). Your real numbers will shift with routers, filters, iterators and AI steps.
